Thursday night Joe helped me out by feeding Amelia around 12:00 Midnight. When he returned to bed I felt a very sharp pain in my abdomen. I tried shifting positions to lessen the pain but it got worse. So much so that I was having trouble breathing. I seriously thought I was going to die. I told Joe that I was in pain. He looked at me sympathetically and said (just as sympathetically) "I'm so sorry." I said, "no, I'm really in pain, we need to go to the emergency room." We put Mia in the carseat and headed off. I was in excruciating pain the entire way. When we got there they brought me to triage and took a urine and blood sample. Then Joe, Amelia and I waited in the waiting room for a couple of hours. Amelia did extremely well considering the waiting room was loud, cold, and there was a hurricane-like storm going on outside! She pretty much slept right through it!
The pain had lessened a little once I learned to stop hyperventilating. The results were inconclusive my Lipase was high suggesting problems with my pancreas but not high enough to be diagnostic. They urged me to go to the doctor on Friday morning or Monday at the latest to run more tests. Well, I called my doctor first thing Friday morning and he wasn't in (of course) so I'm scheduled to go in on Monday afternoon.
Could there be any good to come of this crazy day? Well, there was one thing... I knit a hat for Amelia!!
Okay, probably not the most amazing feat, but for me it was and I was pretty proud of myself for completing it in a day. I spent all day Friday home from work which gave me the time to knit this:
Probably something others could do in an hour, but hey, I'm still learning. Today I've been working on some matching babyleg type things and matching thumbless mittens to go with it! I'm SO thankful for online videos that help show me how to knit because I never would have gotten the whole "Magic Loop" knitting without it (I'm really slow!) This I actually made using with double pointed needles something else I've never done! I'm moving up to making a soaker or longies someday!!!
I used a pattern from a book called "Knitting for Babies" that has lots of baby items in it. My husband jokes that if the book was written for "babies" to knit then certainly I should be able to do it!!!I'm still not feeling the greatest, but at least I'm making use of my time :-)

I'm sorry to hear about your crazy day! I'll be praying for your Doctor's appointment on Monday. Let us know what he decides!
And, the hat is adorable! So cute!
Hopefully the doctor will be able to figure out what was causing you the pain!! I LOVE the hat (hint, hint, LOL)!!
