Long Day

Today was another snow day for half the State. I took care of my seven-year-old sister Becca since she didn't have school. Normally having Becca is a joy because she LOVES to play with Amelia so it helps me out a little bit for her to entertain her while I get some housework done.

Today, however, Amelia has been fussy and has been running a low grade fever. She didn't want to do much of anything so she cuddled with me on the couch most of the day while Becca played Guitar Hero. Normally I would put a limit on the video games, but since Amelia really didn't seem to be feeling well, and the weather was not so nice outside, I kind of let her run wild (although she did paint and then read during the day as well). By the end of the way though, Becca was driving me completely insane and I was so ready for my dad to pick her up.

Amelia only took two half hour naps today but that was all so I started putting her to bed at 6:30. She finally went to sleep at 7:15 and I'm praying that she will sleep well because the last two nights have been not-so-great.

Now I'm sitting on the couch, watching "Monk" and just generally unwinding from this long day.
